Essex County Freeholder Brendan Gill is announcing his endorsement of Mayor Mike Venezia and his team in the Primary Election to be held next week. Freeholder Gill, who has represented Bloomfield for five years first as a district Freeholder and now at-Large and grew up in neighboring Montclair, praised Team Venezia for the progress that has been made in the community during the past three years.

"Ever since Mike Venezia and I first worked together on the late, great Senator Frank Lautenberg's staff I recognized his incredible committment to public service and to his neighbors in his home town of Bloomfield," said Freeholder Gill. "That desire to help people has continued through to his first term as Mayor, where he and his team have successfully stabilized taxes, reduced crime and ushered in a new era for this community. I am proud to offer my endorsement to Mayor Venezia along with his outstanding running mates Wartyna Davis, Ted Gamble and Carlos Pomares and will work to see them be able to continue moving Bloomfield forward."

Brendan Gill was elected in 2011 as an Essex County Freeholder representing the fifth district, which includes Bloomfield, and was later elected as an at-large Freeholder. He is the Democratic Chairman in Montclair and has served as a senior advisor to U.S. Senators Cory Booker and Frank Lautenberg, as well as Congressman Bill Pascrell and many other leading Democrats.
